I just wanted to email to say thank you so much for such a warm welcome for K. The transition despite the urgent nature was well thought out for him. He very much appreciated the child centred welcome guide that was provided to him. Seeing his name on the title page meant he knew it was for him. He loved all the fun facts about the staff and helped him started to connect with those staff remembers.
Upon arrival your staff were just so welcoming and encouraging to him. C in particular was very good, and was so supportive to K, nothing was too much. In addition, it was lovely how C was very clear in his message to K that he was safe, in a very sensitive moment for K, while he was talking about ‘his previous parents’. It was lovely to see how response C was to that moment for K.
The personal touches in his bedroom that you arranged were lovely, and really considerate. He very much appreciates the attention to detail and providing him a notepad as art and story writing is something that is very important to him. I know I felt certainly very welcomed as a professional into your home, and I know that K certainly felt that warmth. He happily transferred his worries that I had been holding from you over to you, which I think says it all.
